# Comparison of model output from Hexagon and Fram

* Difference of simulated AMOC and other properties on Fram and Hexagon are shown
* The model was run from model year 1001 up to 1500 on Hexagon, and it was restarted from 1451 on Fram up to year 2000. Therefore, both machines have an overlap period from 1451-1500
* Different diagnostics for this overlap period are compared, e.g, AMOC and climatological SST, SSS, heat flux and etc.
* It seems that difference of simulated AMOCs are relatively small compared to its interannual and decadal variablities. And the decadal and interdecadal variability of AMOC are similar to the RERFENCE run *NBF1850OC_f19_tn11_02*.
* The simulated SST, SSS and heat flux have some remarkable difference in the Arctic Ocean and North Pacific, part of which may relate to the simulated difference of ice concentration (fice)
* There is also significant difference of wind stress, which indicates the simulated atmospheric circulations also have remarkable differences.

## AMOC
* The left figure shows the simulated AMOC on hexagon (black) and fram (red) for year 1451-1500. These two have very different interannual variability, but they have similar trend and strength.
* The right figure shows the AMOC of all the simulated years on Hexagon (1001-1500) and on Fram (1501-1850), and also the BCCR\_Fast reference preindustrial control run *NBF1850OC_f19_tn11_02* (by M.Bentsen, C.Guo, et al.,) of the same period.
